My Z10 is now virtually my organizer

There are many contacts that I need to store numerical data in the notes field

If these numbers are accidentally touched you then dial that number
HOW TO TURN OFF ..... please sorry I don't even know what it is called

I have tried the hash key before the number #1234567
I have tried the BRACKETING the number (1234567)

    thanks

    That doesn’t happen here. I'm in 10.3.3
I already have numbers in some of my contacts notes, it does not dial. I tried putting in 1234567 and it just stays as text.

I can replicate the issue on Z10STL100-2/10.3.2.2876

Didn't see this on the list of fixes for 10.3.3.
    I have STL100-3

I tried again, entering phone number such as 555-123-4567 will cause it to display as phone number link. Other numbers I have tried just remain plain text and nothing happens when I touch on it

Thanks so in light of the answers I have has a look back on the situation and it is NOT ALWAYS

if a number look like a phone number (UK) it will dial it. UK Cell number start 07, land lines normally 0.

if the FIRST digit is too high like an 8 it won't it is just a number
if the FIRST digit is 1, 4 or 5 this takes me to the BBM screen ?

For all those "interactive numbers" instead of being displayed in black , they are sky blue (like a URL) but not underlined so call or BBM,

Before I posted the question I kept dialling, as numbers in those contacts look like phone numbers

My guess now based on what your local numbers begin with, you may now be able to recreate it

Aaah yes, you are right. If it matches a valid phone number format, then it will be.
The only way around is to prefix the number with a letter, = or $
