    This is my 15 month old Z10 that I use at home on wifi only. I know the battery life is bad, but to be almost dead after a day of basic browsing is pretty crummy. Not that I can't plug it in...

    Details :
    - Charged over night.
    - STL100-3, OS 10.2.1.3442 (Rogers OTA).
    - Brightness 50% or so.
    - Wireless G in a small house, all other radios off.
    - took a 1 minute video.
    - used cb app, browser, and evolution browser to read, no video playback.

    That has been pretty typical for me. I suspect that I'm not using an optimal radio for Verizon which contributes to the less than desirable battery life. But I've been loading leaks (who knows where they get those radios and what device that are intended for) so I'm waiting for the official to drop before I make final judgment.

    I think it's normal for what I heard about Z10 here on the fori.

    Can you post a screenshot of the Current CPU usage, please? After a few minutes rest it should be: System 6-9%, others <1%

    It's not the wifi that's eating up your battery, but having your screen active all the time. 39% screen and browser use up your battery. You could update to 10.3.1 to see if browser will use less power, since new version will not use flash. Or disable flash on your current browser and see if that will help. Also lower your brightness with 10% and see what the effect will be.

    6 hours is standard. I decrease the screen brightness and get around 8 hours.

    As mentioned earlier, turn down brightness. Also make sure that diagnostics is turned off. Maybe your router output is weak. I assume that your location services and nfc, blue tooth is off as well.

    My battery lasts longer than that, but it depends on usage. There are certain games that really eat through the battery quick when played.

    Funny thing about location services is that even when it's off, it's still on. I think that was a 10.1 or 10.2 "feature".

    Thanks for the suggestions folks. I didn't see anything in there that I didn't already know, so guess this is just normal for Z10 and its wee battery. It's not that bad really.

    Getting very frustrated with the battery life. I have to literally sit around with a charger otherwise within 2-3hrs, my phone is dying.

    Since updating to 10.3.1 my battery life has been bad.

    That's really bad. Turn off all the syncing that's you've enabled before to get pin services down.

    Just popped in a new battery, 4hr life span.... and I just adjusted all my syncing which is inconvenient by the way.

    Let's see how this goes.

    It's an estimation only. I'm getting about 6h screen on time, 12-18h with my normal use, >48h on standby. No battery life complaints here. Z10 is a phone, not a tablet.
