You're still missing a number of features only available on 10.3.1. Bugs have mostly been squashed by 2708 - certainly better than the rushed 10.3.0.

For flash, just download the modified native BlackBerry browser with the flash plugin that everyone is using now:
    Flash Browser for BlackBerry 10.3.1

    Z30STA100-5/10.3.2.281
What feature(s) of 10.3.1 do I not have on 10.3. For me, I have been waiting for music and home screen to rotate to landscape and the dark hub. 10.3.1 has none of that. Based on the use of phones I've observed memory management is not much better either. What feature makes 10.3.1 a must get for me?

10.2.1 is perfectly fine unless you need Blend or the voice assistant or improved android app performance. I may keep one of my z10s on 10.2.1.

    Having said that I updated a q5, a z10, and a z30 to 10.3.1 and had no issues.

    New features compared to 10.3.0:

Better Notifications Profiles (more like hub++),
Internal & External Out of Office replies,
Ability to specify which contacts folders within Exchange to sync,
    More robust Calendar reminder dialogs,
    Task Recurrence,
    Workspace Camera,
Ability to mark a Picture or Video as hidden,
    Map View of Pictures,
    Customizable Hotkeys from Home Screen,
    Battery Saving Mode,
Ability to grant/deny permission for applications to continue running while minimized,
Better memory management for 2gb devices,
    Improved android runtime,
Other smaller bug fixes and features.

10.3.0 was really just a rushed beta version of 10.3.1, just to get the passport to market on time.

I have an unlocked Verizon Z30 (STA100-3) running on the Virgin Mobile Canada network and still have not received 10.3.1. Should I expect to wait until Verizon releases it before getting it OTA? I've tried all the suggested methods of getting 10.3.1 except for loading via Sachesi which I'm not comfortable doing.

It's the same model that BlackBerry push the update directly for, plus there is nothing in the box say that this phone is related to any carrier!
I get mine brand new, so if it was locked to any how the hell could you unlock it without even turning it on?

    Yup, I'm 100% sure it's a factory unlocked

Yup, no difference between shop BlackBerry or Amazon, it's the same model " isn't it RFK121LW? "

We need to wait for ever!

    Posted via CB10
The RFK121LW means nothing because tons of other devices sold by carriers are also that model
Having said that, it's more dependent on IMEI and PIN of the device, which is how BB recognizes whether your devices should get a certain update
I think what you ended up getting wasn't actually a phone sold directly from BB, but a unlocked phone, which would explain why you don't get updates
Most people with amazon and shopBB have already gotten the update a month ago

I can turn on, unlock, wipe then put back in box and reseal
So no, you can't be 100% sure it's factory unlocked
A lot of the information you're giving is rather contradicting, so it's really hard to say what the problem is
This is why I'm against people not in N American using devices that are for N America
You end up not getting updates, along with many other problems

I agree with your post except for this part. If you're on a GSM carrier and the phone is from a GSM carrier as well and is fully compatible (or you're aware of and ok with however much incompatibility there is,) I say go for it. Factory unlocked phones are supposed to get their updates from BB anyway, so you won't have to depend on the carrier as you would for a branded phone. I remember reading CB comments from people in India with Z10 -2s and -3s who got 10.3.1 on their factory unlocked phones.

While ShopBB sold the SQN100-5 Q10s (and -1, apparently,) a -3 would have worked just fine on Rogers Wireless. In fact, Rogers' primary Q10 was the -3, which is the ROW model. I understand this example doesn't quite work against your point of only using region-specific devices, but it just goes to show that compatibility is what ultimately matters. The STA100-5 on AT&T is another example of 'off-native carrier' use that's acceptable to people, and even BB.

What I'm personally still a little wary of is using CDMA-UMTS-LTE phones 'off-native' carrier. It's probably irrational now, but the uneasiness comes from the times when pre-LTE Verizon and/or Sprint phones would not work overseas despite having the necessary UMTS bands. They were supposed to, but every once in a while, something would not click and the phone wouldn't work.

That's a pretty good list. Though nothing you'd put on a bill board and nothing at all there worth giving up Tethering and Hotspot on Verizon. My battery is still 26-28 hours strong (Z30), which is plenty for me, and I didn't think memory management was any much improved. The system usage on 10.3.1 still continues to grow unimpeded until a restart. I have my out of office replies set from Outlook with profiles for internal and external. I think if Android runtime gets kicked up a few notches I might be tempted, but at present I see no great speed difference in launching or running most android apps (tested MLB At-Bat, Play Store, TVGo, and Instagram). I like not having 2 browsers to have Flash and built in hotspot. Plus I rarely if ever see a bug.

I believe the latest available Z30 OS from a carrier is 2558 - and yes Telus has it.

You may wish to check out the 2708 leak thread to obtain the very latest for your device. Autoloaders are available there. This is an official OS, but it is not currently being deployed by any carrier for your specific model. No worries though. It will work fine.

I live in a country which was abandoned by BlackBerry Limited a few years ago. (Not a single BlackBerry 10 device has been sold either directly nor indirectly (via carriers) by BlackBerry Limited.)

This morning I turned on my good old Z10 (STL100-2 BlackBerry Z10 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ), which has been left in a drawer SIM-less since I purchased Passport last year, and looked for software update. My Z10 immediately found an update (Software Release 10.3.1.1565 - OS 10.3.1.2243 and radio 10.3.1.2244) via Wi-Fi connection to the production server of BlackBerry Limited.

Perhaps you had better turn on your Z10 without any SIM card inserted. (Please ensure that your Z10 can reach via Wi-Fi connection the production server of BlackBerry Limited . . . which we can easily confirm by trying to download a .bar file such as http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar .)

No update yet, no response from BlackBerry or Michael Clewley or whatever! It's totally bad customers service.

No trick or whatever could work.
Using OTA is my best option, as I spent most of the day in the works I can't find a time to use my laptop, but OTA can be done even at works without touch my phone

    Is there any lag in
    1. Call Log?
    2. Home screen?
    3. Flickering when we open received SMS?
    4. Lag and vibrations after receiving the call for few seconds?
    5. Device heat up fast when multitasking with 3-4 applications?
    6. Bit lag in games when compare to 10.2.1
    7. Annoying call dialer. Etc and many more if I continue

Honesty I must say that wait for official release for those who are still waiting. 10.3.1 have lot of laggy bugs for daily use, after installing leaked or sideload10.3.1 at least 2-3 days it'll stable later on it'll look like a junk useless device in your hand.
BlackBerry is really authentic device when we are officially BlackBerry. If u mess with it creates problem for you.
Personally I have used all the leaks till 10.3.1.2708 but know came back to 10.2.1.3062. At last left to you.

10.3.1.2708 is the latest official OS for the Z10. It is not a leak. It is sitting on the BlackBerry servers.

I have none of the issues you list. Runs as smooth as silk on my Z10s.

I'd try again if I were you, using an autoloader without a restore. You appear to have some corruption in your settings that will never go away if you do a non-destructive update.
