    So I tried to play some of the $0.99 movies I downloaded from blackberry world on my TV but I couldn't get any sound from the TV. I can hear the sound coming from the phone. Is there a setting I need to change to get the sound to be played on the TV?

    I tried with my playbook and the TV is able to play sound no problem.

    Forgot to mention that it is the 10.2.1.1055 leaked OS.

    Settings > Display > scroll down and make sure hmdi audio is on

    Yes it is on. Probably a bug in the leaked OS.

    So far they all work perfectly on mine including kalemsoft. I can only suggest that you check your leads. Mine had the same problem a while back before I realised the lead had just gone to hell.

    By lead you mean the cable? The same cable works with my Playbook. Or maybe my Z10 is defective.

    Update: I restarted the phone and it works after. Enjoy the movie now!

    You can try unplugging the HDMI Cable from the phone and then plugging it in again. That has worked for me.

    Tried it several times but didn't work. Only a reboot fixed it.

    Change your HDMI display mode. I had this exact problem, and changing the output resolution slightly brought sound back.

    This worked for me last night...odd that resolution affects the sound. When i plugged in the cable from my TV to my Q10 it made the recommended selection of resolution for me, which i think was like 738. when I brought it down to 720, it worked fine.
