    Hello,
I am the new Blackberry user, and have never used Blackberry before.
I bought BlackBerry Z10 recently and after connecting to Wi-Fi, I got an option to update after approximately 2GB of download the Blackberry is updated to the latest version.
But after turning it on, there are no Gallery/Photos/Music Player Apps in my Blackberry.
There is just one App page with 12 icons, and there are no other pages either, neither there are any folders.

I have search around and found no solution to restore these Apps.
However, I have recently downloaded .bar files for these Apps and i have no idea what to do with these files.

When I run BlackBerry Desktop manager and connect my device, i get the error that Device not supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Could any body help me how can I get back the default Gallery/Photos/Music Player Apps ?

Search on crackberry "how to load bar files onto z10"
The reason why blackberry device manager doesn't identify your z10 is because the blackberry 10 series have their own blackberry desktop software, it's called "blackberry link"
This is weird that you lost a bunch of apps, but side loading or maybe a security wipe to reset your phone might do the trick

It sounds as if you wound up with the wrong OS. (I think if it is 1927, it is the developer os and missing apps)

Swipe down and select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of that screen and find ABOUT. Open About. There is a dropdown menu near the top right (it shows General), tap it and select OS, and it will show Software Release and OS Version, post both numbers.

Start a temporary outgoing email or txt/sms message and type

myver (followed by Spacebar). It will provide the OS and model info. Copy that into a message here.

I _THINK_ you need to upgrade to a newer version of the OS. Have you tried using Settings/Upgrade OS?

Plug into the usb cord and run BBLink software. It should offer to upgrade to newer software for the phone. (sorry, I was away for the weekend)

I don't recall if that is also an incomplete LEAK OS. Go to the Leak Subforum and find a newer version of either 10.3.0.xxxx or even 10.3.1.xxxx

    Isn't that a developer beta?
You need to install a much much newer version of 10.3.2 or better still 10.3.3

You can't. I posted a full OS in your other thread.

Either they can't read, can't understand, or just choose to ignore all the warnings. /smh

OTOH, why does BlackBerry have Developer OS's available for download when they're shutting down everything else?

These aren't developer devices. These are regular BB10 device users Googling "BlackBerry autoloader" and getting back the BlackBerry Developer site among the top results. Of course they will pick the actual BlackBerry site first. Then they proceed to ignore the warnings (which really aren't as intrusive as they should be) and download away.

THEN, they come here asking what happened.

But, yes, BlackBerry needs to shut that site down.

OP and others, why you are NOT upgrade to the proper OS? rather than stuck with dev OS? where did you get those device? do you have proper BBID or valid IMEI number? (both are needed to get proper OS). Why you try NOT to update to the proper OS (I understand -1 version got low memory for Z10, it might have limited capability to update to the latest OS, but others should have no problem)... are you got device that still carrier locked? (black listed not paid off carrier device that was under contract)? be careful what you buy on the cheap.

The Z10 -1 model has the same memory as the other 3. It's the porcessor that's different. TI based instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon-based, and Texas Instruments pretty much ended their mobile SOC business just as the Z10 was released. Support has always been sort of an afterthought ever since. Direct OS support ended with 10.3.2. None of the 10.3.3.xxxx builds work with the -1 model at all.
