    That isn't BBM for the PlayBook though, that is BBM for your phone, displayed on your PlayBook. Hell, if I connect my phone to my TV with HDMI, do I suddenly have BBM for TV?

    I'm pissed, but the one thing you have to remember is that those devices are always connected to the internet. The PlayBook is really only a WiFi device (really, how many 3g PBs did they sell? 30?). I would have to assume that this has something to do with the decision. Otherwise, I just don't get it.

    Remember, BBM is only being developed for the iPhone and Android PHONES, not the tablet variants (at this time).

    I'm pretty disappointed. I was hoping for a BB10 PB with OS7/Bridge like functionality for BB 10 devices. I think BBRY is really missing the mark w/ this decision. And with the news of this decision & others, my shares dropper below $11....!!!!!

    True, but you will probably still be able to load the iPhone BBM version on the iPad... just like how I run Google Maps for iPhone on my Mini iPad.

    Looks like it was DOA. Bought it when it first came out and it wasn't cheap! Had a lot of faith in BlackBerry developing the PlayBook into an amazing tablet. What's worse is they promised that BB10 would be released for it. Empty promises. Been using a BlackBerry since the 7730 and now have a Z10 after using many in between. Just disappointed...
