My Z10 will not make a sound...not even a peep. No audio of any kind. I've checked the main volume under system settings and powered off/on.
    Any suggestions?

    Could it be "muted"?

Don't have a Z10, yet, waiting for Bridge to be fixed.

No, not muted. I can't even hear sample ring tones.

Rather than doing a power off/on, do an actual battery break on the device (leave the phone turned on, pull the battery, wait about 10 seconds, replace the battery and restart) This has fixed the issue on every Z10 I have run across with this issue.

I hear battery pulls aren't good. I appreciate your advice, but can I trust this method won't damage the phone further?

Do you have BlackBerry Virtual Expert on your phone. If not it won't hurt to download from BBWORLD maybe that can help you out.

Although I'm not sure when and if it finds a problem what it will do to fix it.
When I use it my phone pass all the test.

The BlackBerry Virtual Expect confirmed my loudspeaker isn't working, but didn't give me a resolution. What do I do now?

Did you just recently use your headphones or plug it into a portable speaker? This happened to me one time when i plugged my Z 10 into a speaker dock. I think i fixed it by rebooting my phone. Maybe if you check the help forums you might dig something up. Good luck

Bad advice. Good for Legacy phones. Bad for BB10.

Turn it off. Pull the battery.

Their issues seem to have been tied to bluetooth or use of earphones and I don't use either of those on the Z10. I did check the bluetooth and it was turned off. I've tried every suggestion with no positive results. I guess I'll wait for the next update. I love this phone but geez....thanks for your help.

Hey, sorry to keep hitting your thread I know you must have it subscribed. But my OCD is getting the better of me trying to figure this out.

I've scoured the interwebs and have seen this 'fix' a few times. I copied and pasted it below.
Now I'm going to watch Dexter & Boardwalk Empire that I missed Sunday.

"I had the problem once and it was an easy fix. All you do is plug in your headset/headphones, call a telephone number (e.g., your voicemail) and when connected, tap the "mute" icon. Unplug your headset/phones and I bet the speaker starts working. Hope this helps! Let me know if it does. By the way, it hasn't happen to me again...a one time deal."

I finally got my sound back baby! It was an easy fix and one I thought I had already tried. I took my notifications off of vibrate and switched to normal and then back to vibrate. Problem solved. Thanks again for all your help.

I'm having this problem again. It seems as if you tube videos are having turning my external speakers off and I can't get them to turn back on. Anyone else experiencing this?
