What phone? It might not be configured to always listen for an NFC connection.

I have only used it between BlackBerrys and I have never had a file too large... Make sure both phones have bluetooth turned on. I'm honestly not too sure what the phones are doing. Try sending a basic URL, that one shouldn't even need bluetooth turned on

I was trying to send the picture to a galaxy note 2 and I wasn't aware that you had to have blue tooth enabled

NFC isn't really designed for transferring anything other than text. It's not a fast interface. Its great for pairing devices, transferring a contact card and similar things.

I've seen ads for other phones where it appears that they are bumping phones to send videos. Whats going on in the background is that the video is already uploaded to a server somewhere and they are simply transferring the URL to the other device.

There are no standards on NFC yet.
    Sorry, some work, some don't.
I have found that BlackBerry works with nexus but not Samsung.

Huh, didn't know that. Well that's nonsense! Hopefully they work out a common standard soon...

Yeah, it was impossible to do any NFC between my Z10 and a Galaxy S3. NFC with a Galaxy Nexus works, although I chalk that up to Google and not Samsung.

I got a BlackBerry Z10 recently, and NFC works only one way with a Samsung Galaxy Note II. I can send pictures, songs etc. from Z10 to the Note 2, but I does not work backwards as the Z10 display an error saying that NFC content is not recognized what is being sent by the Note 2

Oh well. I believe these little annoyances will be smoothed in future BlackBerry OS10 updates.
