I am a long time BlackBerry keyboard user. My q10 is en route to be repaired so I will be spending the next couple of weeks on a z10.
What do I need to know? Looking for any tips that will make my time without a keyboard more bearable.

Well, the keyboard shortcuts you may have used will not work, other than the Browser which does obey many of them. You can summon the keyboard when it is hiding by swiping UP from the bottom with TWO fingers. You can hide it by swiing down with two fingers or pressing and HOLDing on the spacebar.

Swipe to the left once to delete one word, twice to delete two words etc. It is a great keyboard for a touch screen.

A year back I switched from my Bold to the Z10 and wondered how I would manage the keyboard. The first few days were a little different, wasn't sure if I liked it, after a week or two I began to love it and after a few weeks I was flying! Enjoy the benefits of a bigger screen, you might not want to go back.

I've always wanted a Blackberry, and my current z10 is the first one I've owned. I love it. I've had every phone OS, and hands down the BlackBerry virtual keyboard is the best. I love it, and you will too. On top of the awesome virtual keyboard, the screen real estate of a full touch phone is hard to beat.

Swipe with two fingers will delete two words at one time. Three fingers will delete three words.

Best thing I can tell you is:
Take your time to getting used to the virtual keyboard and getting used to "flicking words".
That's all you need to know when you came from the Q10.

Also the Z10 was the first full touch device I ever had and I thought I never really could get used to the virtual keyboard - but after a few months of using it I love the word prediction.
Especially if you are as lazy as I am, that "flicking" will add your typing a lot of speed makes it easy as pie to write down texts!
    I just love it!

    Have fun with your Z10!
