So will anyone be grabbing this new BlackBerry Z3 if and when it becomes available here in our part of the world, speaking for myself I think I'll grab one just for the sake of having one but it does look interesting for the price stated.

My amazing BB Z10 - OS 2141 also on my Z30 backed up with my 32g PlayBook in the wings

If the device is cheap wnough I will probably grab one as a backup phone. At times my Z10 has needed servicing and I've had to reach for my bold 9900 as a temporary phone but the microphone on the bold is not working. So having a cheap yet new option to rely on when things get rough sounds great to me.

The way I see it one cannot have too many Blackberries

I suppose if it included 4GLTE connectivity, I could add it to my collection. But, I'm not sure that it will include good connectivity for either data or voice. I think it's a third world phone and they don't have modern connection protocols in most regions of the developing world.

Is it going to be available here? And isn't it only 3G? I thought this is supposed to be an entry level device for emerging markets.

I need a good travel phone (VZW Z10 has terrible radio bands). So, if it does have good radio band compatibility (not necessarily LTE), and the battery turns out to be good... then perhaps it might be worth a sub $200 price tag.
