There is no official published release date for 10.2.1. I don't recall an official published release date for 10.2 or 10.1, correct me if I'm wrong.

Depends on your comfort zone but if you do the necessary due diligence, no reason not to install the leak. I should point out though that the official 1925 has been showing up in different areas, including Jamaica, so it may not be that far off.

Even once blackberry releases the update its ultimately up to the carrier to release it to your phone. Unless you install the leaked versions which you can already do. There is no set official release dates for BlackBerry firmwares. It all depends on the carrier.

My guess: early 2014 for most of the world, when pigs fly for the USA.

Either way, I suggest anyone waiting to install the latest leak.

Never understood why people won't instal a leaked OS? I can understand not being to technically savvy, but its an autoloader, you connect your device to your PC, click the autoloader and go grab a beer. I don't think it could be any easier?

Besides, the way BlackBerry does OS upgrades, it could be months if not years before your carrier decides to release the same exact OS most of us would have had long ago, and moved on from.

This isn't the old BBOS days where you had to have a whole slew of "tools" to mess with your phones OS. Simply plug in and click the exe file.

On a side note, never rely on link to do backups, rely on third party apps such as firechest, sms backup, contactX and the likes to perform your backups. Only thing you'll lose is app data, settings, and accounts(which even with a backup, you need to reenter your credentials for any account).

Has link not worked for you? It works for me every time, I get a 7gb backup file.
Going back to the original topic, in the UK official OS releases are not too far apart but it's always better to put the leak on. So much quicker. The official OS is 10.1.xxxx way behind the leaks lol

It's not that Link doesn't work for me, it just never really seems to load everything properly from the complete backup, and causes all sorts of issues. 90% of the problems we see reported in leaked threads are caused by Link Backups.

The main reason I haven't installed a leak is I find it confusing but from what you've said it seems quite easy guess I'll give it a try, ya I've experience problems with link backup and I'm confused on the backup/restore process

They are all official. Only select few are released to the public though and Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.1925 could be a release build.

1925 is by far the best BlackBerry 10 release that existed to date.

The BBM 10.3 beta is also amazing on this leak!

Most autoloaders if not all have been catered to windows pc they're all exe binary which macs don't support.

Leak firmware is firmware being developed by BlackBerry and leaked by someone who has access to them but is not officially supported by them. They are called "leaked" for a reason.

Normal consumers are not suppose to have access to these firmware cause they haven't been fully tested. Though usually they don't cause problems. They haven't been properly tested for normal use. BlackBerry and your carrier can refuse warranty service if they find out you are using leaked firmware regardless if that's the cause of the problem or not.

They are safe most of the time. But they cannot be classified as official firmware.
