Im having problems with some apps that i download from blackberry app world. it downloads ok but when i go to open it there is the blue loading bar at the bottom with the black screen and then nothing opens goes back to the main screen. i have a blackberry z10

Sounds like your running into android apps that aren't loading, you may need to reload those files

app world downloads can still be android ports

yup, give that a try, if it doesn't work, you may need to reinstall the android system all together and that can be tricky

yah ive already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and doing a battery pull nothing works

What are the apps that are not working?

Could also be apps that are just Web launchers and you've got a slow connection? Is the blue loading bar the same as the one that you see when you use the browser?

I am having the same problem with android apps from BlackBerry World namely Skype, Waze. Songza, 8tracks. Kobo,Ebay Kindle and more. These are all android apps taken from BlackBerry World. When you click on these apps to open a blank screen comes up with a blue loading bar at the bottom and halfway through loading it just crashes and go back to the main screen.

I had this same problem and it turned out to be an incomplete OS update was the problem. While I don't know specifically what didn't get updated properly, since the apps I had problems with turned out to be Android ports, I surmise that the Android runtime was corrupt or incomplete. Once I reloaded the 10.1 update, I'm on Verizon by the way, the problem went away. I was having the problem specifically with Lastpass.

So the short answer is, backup, wipe, reload and restore your data. Also, you should do all those steps through Blackberry Link.

AFter my 1st reload, I had a battery drain problem. Now I did both the original upgrade to 10.1 and the reload over wifi. However, I just did another wipe and reload through Blackberry Link and both problems are now history. Could there be a problem with updating over wifi? I don't know, it could be that isn't a problem for everyone. All I know is this worked for me.

No doubt, especially in 10.1. By all accounts, 10.2 fixes many of the issues with the new 4.2.2 Android runtime.
