Today, I was messing up with my Z10 when I stumbled upon the About>Network>Register Blackberry.
As soon as I did that, I started disconnecting from calls.
After a while, even I stayed in full tower 3G network, I couldn't use the Data or Cellular services whereas if I went into 2G network, I can do everything.

Mine is a normal 3G plan, not using BBM plan provided by carrier.

Does anyone know how hard I hit my leg?
Just for the sake of me, I even changed my SIM card and got a new one. Currently my phone is on 2G network

This should only impact data access, not your voice connection. Something else is in play here probably at the carrier side.

Just to check, I went out of my house. At some places, I am getting reception and at others, I don't. Feels like something is jamming my connection.

Has started to happen from today.

Edit 1: Now its working in a different manner after chewing out my carrier. First both were not working but now data is working but Voice is not. Jesus!

The register option on BB10 really would not effect your connection this way as BB10 does not use BIS. Definitely would be carrier related.

Currently I am at 2G network.
Lost a call from boss yesterday evening. He ate me for breakfast today.

Voice is carrier
Data connection may be altered via register blackberry, but only for BB services like BBM, etc
