Alright, so I took a look, and since this is such a new
issue that is coming about I don't have very much
information on it! But I'd keep an eye out I don't see this continuing for very long!

While I would love to see a native or even an official port from Netflix, I got my Z10 yesterday, sideloaded the Android Netflix, and laid in bed watching Archer. I gotta say it was a good thing.

yeah they always seem to give the same response, its not a definite no, but not a definite yes, they like to skirt that line a lot.

There have been any posts by people who have contacted Netflix. They all have been told that it will happen and to check the official blog.
Then the company itself will come out and remind everyone that there are no plans for an app.
    Don't hold your breath

The sideloaded from bla1se works well for streaming. It's just leggy to browse. It's fine if you know what you want and just search it.

I did not post the whole conversation on here but they knew exactly what I was discussing and asking about...I felt it was genuine but just could have been blowin smoke too....I guess time will tell, but no biggie as I watch Netflix on the home theatre

I am sure we are close to an official release. An android port on my Z10 is working great so far.

weaseling out again. Not a yes. Not a no. or a reason for the no. Or a reason for having or reason. Typical red tape bureaucracy with no accountability.

I really don't care about NetFlix. I would much rather have an app for the free online streaming service I get from my cable company. :/

Now that's a must have. And I know that 4 Z10s won't get them to even open the emails to check what is it we're pesting them about...

Anyway, I'd keep on the lookout... A working port is indeed a good sign. They may do what Amazon did and release it if there is nothing to lose.

yepp, they probably get a number of calls regarding the same thing, they have some preprogrammed response that they give clients.

Netflix runs well already on BB10, as in the video streams quite well, they just need to tweak the code and interface to run smoothly on BB10. I dont think it would be that big a leap for them really.

Though, its not a huge app want for me, there are others much higher up the list, as if I have a choice to watch on my laptop or my phone guess which one I'm going to be watching.

Th Z10 does HTML5 video very well so that's a bit of a p-off that it's enabled for Google and we can't use it.

Let me understand a little better this issue.
Who has to create the App? Blackberry or Netflix?
A Netflix rep just told me that is Blackberry's fault? WTF?
    I'm totally lost

NetFlix is more likely to be the creator of an app, although BlackBerry has created 3rd party apps in the past - notably the official social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter.

Regarding this being BlackBerry's fault - and this is purely speculation - BlackBerry has mentioned in the past that there are several developers who refuse to work with them until sideloading is disabled for the consumer. I wonder if NetFlix is one of these developers.
