Hi Guys & Gals, my Z10 keeps showing "Enter Device Password" message every time I wake up the device. I never have this problem before since I have the device. I start to have this problem after I side-load Instagram through Google Chrome. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you very much!

I assume you put the device in developer mode when you side loaded Instagram which required a device password.

Can't you just go to the settings, disable dev moce and disable the password?

Thanks for a quick reply! I did turn off the Developer mode after finished side-load the software. I am not sure what else to do now. Anymore suggestion? Thanks! -Ryan

It still puts on a device password even if you turn off Dev mode. So whatever password you used to turn on dev mode and sideload, you have to go into the passwords and disable the password

Thanks, I remembered I did that but I can not remember where I can get into that mode to disable the password. Does anyone know where? Thanks! -Ryan

Go to settings, then security and privacy, then device password.

Microsoft exchange email. When you have that, you are required to have a password on the device and you cannot disable the password as long as you have that account.

Well that's not true. I have an Exchange email set up and I do not use a device password.

Oh I guess when bb10 communicates with my work email server, it requires us to have a password.

Yes, your employer controls that. I have a personal Exchange account and I can go into my settings and require a device password, but I obviously don't need to since it's just me. Employers typically want device passwords to ensure security.

Same thing happens when Android users connect to our work exchange servers. Seems like not too many people outside of IT like device passwords. I do.
