Anyone know how I can free up storage space? It's looking dangerously low and i dont like to flirt too much with less than 35% storage space . Many thanks for any assistance rendered.

I don't have much apps, maybe apps only account for 80mb at max

Did you go to BB world to make sure how much each of your apps really take up, just to be safe. Sometimes apps that wouldn't seem too large actually are. If it aren't the apps that are taking up your space then it could be a real issue imho.

Sorry if that isn't much help...

I noticed that sometime certain files don't delete well... or when you transfert something from your computer to the Z10, and the transfert is interrupted, the corrupted file remain on the phone and there is no way to delete.

I would backup and reload the OS. Then I would only use the media card for media... the internal storage just for apps. if there is a problem, it's much easier just to reformat the media card.

All my media goes to the media card, but just don't know what takes up the 10.9 gig of other data. What are some of your free memory on ur phone?

Apps, among other things, are included in "other data "

Any chance you've sideloaded and deleted many apps?

How do you delete it from the device then to free up the memory?

Uninstall it using the method you used to install the app.

The sideload process allocates the required space needed for the app, so you should use the same tools you use to install it as they use BlackBerry's command line tools in the background

For example, if you use the chome extension to sideload apps, you should also delete them via the chrome extension

I got rid of my "other data" by wiping and not restoring apps. I'm not sure what would happen if you just delete it all but I would be interested in learning about it if you try that.

No, some stuff might be needed for apps, unless you have no android apps installed. The cache is under /misc/android/Android I think....

If you back it up and then restore your apps you will be at the same place you are now.
