In my opinion, yes, because when you have to use it, you have to remove it in the holster.

What's the best bumper case? I've read the Poetic bumper cases are difficult to remove and buttons were difficult to press.

Naked most of the time, carry in holster while traveling but I do have a screen protector. Dropped a few times, got a scratch near BB logo and dent on top right.

Tried naked, but was worried too much about dropping it then put a nilkin Super Frosted Shield hard case. Once the z10 flew and the case broke. Now am on 2nd nilkin case.. love how the case feels and how it protect the phone...

I use a few different cases to protect my Z10 investment. First, Full Body Ghost Armour, which is amazing on its own, then a BB Holster, but mostly Trident Aegis case when at work. All work very well on their own, but want extra protection when at work.

Was naked for the first 4 months. I try to be careful, but accidents and a grabby 4-year-old happen and it hit the floor several times. Each time dented another corner of the plastic edge. Another time, I was checking something on the phone when the boy decided to make a run for it out from under a restaurant table - I put the phone in my mouth (holding it with my teeth) and got him just as he made it from the table. One tooth nicked the top front face just above the glass to the left of the ear piece, and another tooth dented the plastic cover over the flash on the back. Luckily the camera lens cover was untouched.

(Don't ask me why I didn't just put it down on the table... ).

I'm surprised how soft the plastic is. But it does feel nice in the hand. I also like that it easy enough to get it in and out of my pants pockets. I was wary of how much more bulk would be added with a case of any kind.

At Christmas, we bought cases for all our phones (wife's iPhone, and my older son's GS2). I got a cheap 2-piece cover from ebay. One of those neoprene wraps with a hard shell back. It actually works quite well. Yes, it is bulkier in the pocket, but I've gotten used to it. It also has a hole in the middle of the back so you can see the BlackBerry logo. Every other case I've seen covers that up.

It fits well enough. The only minor issue is that the jack of the headphones I use at work are just a little bigger at the plastic base than the hole in the neoprene for the jack in the phone cover. I have to squeeze it down to get complete connection, but it can be done (the rubber gives just enough). The earbud jack fits fine, but for music, I use over-the-ear headphones instead of tinny, no-bass, earbuds.
