Well, after some months of use I decided to drop my Z10 at a service center of my carrier. I was satisfied with its smart part (i.e. application, user interface, etc.), but I had a lot of trouble with the phone part (often, although the GSM/3G signal level was high, I was not reachable and trying to make a phone call resulted in a "connection with the network not possible" message).
I'm now using a S4 mini, and although I continue to prefer the bb10 OS over android, I'm beginning to appreciate the small form factor of my new phone (the volume is about 11% smaller), I hope to receive back a well functioning Z10 (although the quite erratic insurgence of my problem makes difficult a diagnosis and a repair), but I'm not sure what of the twos will be my main phone.
What do you think, there will be space in the future for a smaller (with respect to the Z10) bb10 touch screen phone?

P.S. independently from the OS, today it is very difficult to find small high performance phones. In my search apart the iphone 5 (which I've not considered), I was able to find only the S4 mini (with all the Samsung bloatware) and the Droid Mini (not available in Europe)

Is a physical keyboard a deal-breaker for you? If not, the Q10 is a nicely sized phone..

With respect to the Z10, the Q 10 is lower, but it is also larger, in the end it is a not so small phone, with a very small screen.

    S4 mini dimensions : 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.9 (mm)
    Bb q10 dimensions : 119.6 x 66.8 x 10.4 (mm)

Is it the width that you don't like? It's about as small as smartphones get these days..

Edit: not sure why it posted twice. Also I agree with the "very small screen" statement..

I actually like the size of the z10. Small enough to fit a pocket and still fairly easy to read.

MotoX and one mini are larger than the Z10, the new sony is just in the middle between the Z10 and the S4 mini (so as is smallness is probably negligible, but I would like to hand it)

Only eight days at the service center, and I started to miss my Z10 (I want to try the new leaked OS) :-(

Well, the zed came back. Now the the challenge with the S4 mini can start (just loading some android app I found useful).
