While out....i dropped my Z10 into a cooler and did not know. by the time I realized it was missing and then found the likely place it might be, it had been sitting in 6" of very cold water for 15 minutes. When I looked in the cooler, I saw my red light flash at me....i grabbed it, took out battery and sim and put in rice overnight. phone works perfectly....... Thank you bbry. Try that iphone...

Lol what about all the other z10s that weren't so lucky and got damaged in water?

I'm sure I phones some of them are just as lucky and survived water before .

Woah! Awesome! (Of course your warrantee is void but at least your Z10 works.) IMHO the iPhone would be toast simply because of the non-removable battery.

    True.

That's like those near-drowning stories where folks submerged in very cold water seem to survive by entering a very slow state due to the cold water.

    Do not try it again!!!

Not worried, it was a Verizon demo phone and I returned it and they brought me my Z10.....ty VZ.

And the rice was filled with great information and it flowed....

I'd recommend you getting your phone cleaned of excess water. Good chance phone will start to go downhill soon enough but if water damage
