Is it working on the official OS release?

Yes - software issue with the leak OS you have running on the device
No - hardware issue, proximity sensor gone

    I installed leaked 10.3. 1 os. May be I think it's a software issue

No, I am also using leaked one and every thing working fine for me.
Check it manually when you making a call and sensor nearer to your body then screen goes down off or not.

I have the same issue on a Z30.

My BlackBerry contact did some debugging with me and the analysis showed that se sensor reading were out of range.

BBVE did pass all tests, but the values in BBVE are not the same as the OS uses.

I was told that they consider changing BBVE so the values match what the phone app is using.

    Basically the sensor is defective.
I'm planning to change the middle frame as it includes mic, speaker and sensors etc.

FYI: I just replaced the middleframe (incl. all sensors) on my Z30 a proximity sensor now works when calling!!

Finally.... had this issue for about 6 months.

PS: Only workaround I found was to press the power button before moving the device to the earlier. This turned the display off and prevented me to accidentally press any dial tones during the call.

I am having this issue with my passport all the time. It is driving me crazy, hung up on 4 people today. Not a good move when you are in a middle of a phone interview.

I tried the power button but what I find is if I get an email or BBM it activates the screen.
