    Hi everyone.

    My parents obtained a Blackberry Z10 each one 8 months ago. All was right, my parents were happy with their mobile phones but they're having some problems.

    My father's Z10 turned off this week. When we tried to turn it on, an error message appeared and we couldn't restore the device with BlackBerry Link so we gave it to the Orange Technical Service.

    My mother's Z10 is having problems for two weeks more or less. Sometimes when she's speaking and she wants to finish the call, the system gets blocked and she can't do anything. Immediately the device gets very hot and the battery go down just in a few minutes.

    What's wrong with the mobile phones? Both are with the last OS version.

    @MuchoZzz, when you say you attempted to restore the devices through Link, did you mean a restore from a backup, or an OS reset? I'm assuming your folks aren't messing with OS installs or leaks. If you haven't done so already, try to do a device reset in Link. That will download and reinstall your carrier's latest official OS. Sometimes that's all the device needs when it goes fluky like that.

    If you use any cloud based contacts just security wipe the device, and let the OS update over the providers network.

    Don't "restore" any settings.

    And it saves the frustration of using that terrible crapware called Link.

    Wow, I didn't know you were a non-native speaker until I got to you said so! That English is better than some people who have spoken it their entire life!

    Anyways, I would do what was stated before and try completely reloading the OS. If that doesn't work, get the phones replaced (hopefully there's a warranty...)

    Are they using official car chargers made by BlackBerry? Tell them never start the car with them plugged into the charger. Unplug, start car, plug back in.

    Both phones have 10.2.0.424 OS.

    My father often charges his mobile phone in the car with a non-oficilal charger. Maybe it could cause the problem in my father's case... When his phone went down, I tried to reload the OS by BBLink, but when OS was ready to install in the BB, an error appeared and I had to turn it off. Fortunately it was in warranty period and in 2 weeks more or less we'll have this device repaired.

    My mother never charges the mobile in the car. She only charges it with the official charger at home. I don' know what could be happening with it xD... Maybe should I do a OS reset?

    I strongly suggest you upgrade both phones to 10.2.1.1925 OS.
    Most of your problems will be fixed.

    ^^ what he said. The. 1925 OS is very solid and worth it for you to learn how to install it on both devices.

    I tried to update my mother's BB and the update didn't appear in the device or in BBLink. I hope it will appear soon...

    These folks are suggesting you to download a leak software. It won't be officially released for a little longer through your device or Link.

    Since both devices issue started recently, the phones might have gone bad. If wiping the OS doesn't work you might need to send both phones for repairs.
