I don't know if any of the following stuff I've captured will help but ....

    Browser Lock stalled

The other day I cleared the history and cookies under settings of the browser on my BlackBerry Z10. Ever since, the browser stopped working. It's frozen, unresponsive and I'm unable to navigate the page or click on links. Even trying to open a new tab doesn't work. Please help.

I am so sorry you are having this issue. I too experienced this problem and it is quite frustrating to find the browser crippled in this fashion. However, in the forums one of our members posted a solution which should have you up and running in no time. These instructions restored my browser without having to perform a wipe and reinstall the operating system.

    Turn off Wi-Fi
Swipe down from the top bezel and tap on Settings > Network Connections > Mobile network
    Turn off Data Services
Open your BlackBerry browser, tap on the overflow menu (three dots), and go to Settings > Privacy and Security > and select Clear History / Clear Cookies and Other Data
Go back to Settings > Display and Actions and scroll down and tap on Reset Search Engines
Exit out of browser (Swipe up and tap the X)
Turn data services back on and the browser should be fully operational again

Now while there are several methods discussed, this one resolved the problem on my BlackBerry 10 device. A special thanks to Daniel71317 for posting the instructions in the thread. For me, I have since gone into my browser settings and checked the option to remove history items after one day rather than clear it myself and the problem has not returned.

    Changing Browser Search engine

Open the browser, start searching, tap the downwards arrow at the top right corner, select google.

    what you people think.
Go to duckduckgo.com, hit the overflow button, hit the + to add search provider, then start typing in the address bar and change the default search to duckduckgo, now it's your default

    Dlink info

I wouldn't worry too much about the time server. Yes, I like to have the time synced up properly but it shouldn't affect the ability to retransmit the signal.

I believe the process for updating the firmware is on the D-link website but yes you would need to download the file to your computer first and then load it on the router.

When you are at a hotel, use your browser to run the setup. I haven't tried Origami but I know Dolphin does work and the native Playbook or BB10 browser will not. Connect to the wifi signal from your router. By default it is open. Log into the router using the browser by going to By default you will be presented with the login screen. Login as admin and then run the internet setup. If you select hotspot, it will look for wifi connections. Select the hotel's strongest open signal. In most cases it will connect and then let you set up your wifi access key and ssid. I left the ssid as default but put on WPA security. It will reboot.

Reconnect to your wifi on the dlink. If the internet is just wide open, you shouldn't have to do anything. If the hotel has a login, go to your browser and you should automatically be directed to the hotel's login. Once you have logged in once, all other devices you connect to the Dlink should automatically connect to the internet. But I find that many hotels require you to login every 24 hours.

I haven't tried the sharepoint so I can't say if an app is required. However, I would think that it should work like a shared drive so an app like Netshare File Explorer should work on the Playbook. I will have to try it sometime.
