Minutes, literally MINUTES after sideloading Pinterest, SnapChat, and Tumblr apps from Lenko's thread, I experienced my first random reboot while signing up for a SnapChat account. I just wanted to see what the fuss was about, but... no thank you.

The apps have since been deleted (which since I sideloaded them a second ago tells you my perspective on people who believe they NEED an app more than they NEED a functioning phone.) and I'll just wait for BB support for these apps, if, and when, they come. If not, that's what a browser is for. And I certainly don't need SnapChat.

Anyway, for everyone who wants to believe it's the Z10's fault for rebooting and not what you put on it, I'm just another person stating the opposite.

well personally ive been using snapchat since i got my z10, and i have not had one random reboot yet. i sideload all the time as well, with a lot of apps failing once i get them on. still no random reboots.

Anyway, I'm just another person stating the opposite to what you believe

also, if you believe snapchat is the issue, sign up for one on another device then log into it on your Z10

I just updated an earlier thread I responded on; bone stock Z10 other than 32gb Sandisk card, mine was randomly rebooting too - a few times - no sideloaded apps, nothing left running, etc. but it stopped doing it a week ago. At that point I had only had the phone a short time.

As of this post my Z10 hasn't rebooted itself since 04-07.

There have been many people that have not side loaded anything and have had random reboots.

Perhaps it is individual, then. Based on what I'm reading, T-Mobile models like mine seem to be rebooting less. The first and only time I've experienced an issue is after side loading. It could be user error, but I'm fairly comfortable with side loading as a PlayBook owner and the whole process is simple and straight forward. Now, I'm wondering if the Os version has some connection to the random reboots and whether certain side loaded apps work. Pinterest seemed alright, albeit slow, and i didn't install anything that was 'untested'.

In the past, it's almost always been an issue of, "It's not the phone but what you do with It," and I assumed it was little different now. Heck, when i worked as a BlackBerry tech for T-Mobile, that was basically our mantra. But, I can see it was a bad assumption *shrug* and we'll just say for ME it seems I had no issues until I started side loading some of these "Tested" apps.

I went through 3 different Z10s from ATT and i didn't download any apps at all on the 2nd 2 and they all rebooted. sometimes while on the charger and sometimes in my pocket and sometimes while just sitting on my desk. Its not apps causing the reboot problem. it is either HW or OS. Yes you could download an app and it could cause a reboot, but on my 3rd Z10, i didn't even set up any accounts on it. just used the phone or text and it rebooted 3 times in a 2 hr period.

Holy cow. Now that seems like an OS or hardware issue.

Notice your SIM inserted into Z10. The old or normal cutted SIM not fixed may cause Z10 reboot itself.
