30 Days Limitation!!!! I showed them the workarounds and they said you can't be looking up things while you're in court, or hearings!

    we're talking about 1500 Z10s!

I can't believe that blackberry left something like that...

I would like to think that as an enterprise willing to commit to 1500 units of Z10s, your IT dept would have the clout as an early adopter to press the importance of retaining emails beyond 30 days. See beyond software limitations as they can be fixed. It's the hardware that you need to know how to appreciate.

As a legal, you must know that typing fast and accurately is key. Time is money. You can't get any better other than the Z10

I don't know why the native app is like that but I had K9 on my HTC, which is what our IT guy put on all Androids. It's in BlackBerry World.

That is an absolute deal breaker for me as well. I honestly don't understand how anyone can put up with that limitation. And it must be simple for blackberry to change. I could (barely) live with a year if they had to leave it at that, but even that seems silly.

supposedly it will be fixed but i am not sure why its there to begin with. You can always have 30 days as an option like on the current BBOS. Like many others the Z10 will not be a daily driver until this is fixed

I find searching almost instant and don't see a problem. Part of blackberry problem was the memory the emails would take when someone had 3k+.. have you shown them how fast to search server works? I like not slowing my device down by old emails.

I'm nor understanding this. Cause before my Z10 I had the HTC One X, Samsung S3, and the LG Optimus G and with my work email attached to them all I could was 30 days worth of email history. This was also the case with my personal email as well. So now with my Z10 attached to the same email accounts that's all I get. I guess I don't understand why this is an issue when all of the emails are still on the server and in your personal email box for work.

Maybe you or some one can explain this to me. I really don't understand why this is such a bad thing. Why would you need email from six months back, when if it's that important you could move it or email it to yourself to put it in the 30 day history. I know I don't want any more than 30 days, I have some where near 5000 emails in my box and would not want to go through all of them on my phone.

IT Dept is the decision maker, They praised the phone, but this was the only deal breaker, and they were comparing that VS Lumia 920

If you are in a position of influence, you need to go in there and test Lumia's keyboard. IT also won't want to make a decision that would get a barage of criticism from the business users.

Everyone has a preference. I don't like to keep emails on my phone.. I like to deal with outlook, and archiving.. Some users like to go back to 2010 to see the emails ( they just love the fact that they can see everything on the phone, because they travel a lot ,or it can be for any reason..) Different phones give you the options beyond 30 days , I think it's called "Anytime" it keeps everything..

Lawyers also want everything NOW and FAST. And typing in single, short sentences is also not typical of lawyers. I know, because I have a law partner AND practising lawyer in the family. I don't know what the Lumia keyboard is like, I really think your IT Dept has got to test the keyboard side by side, and see for themselves, the value-add of how superior the Z10 keyboard is. I type faster on my Z10 than I ever did on my Bold 9900 which has a physical qwerty.
