    Just wondering did everyone manage to solve the contacts issue? Mine is getting worst. It used to be just one or two duplicates but now some of my contacts have more than 10 duplicates. With all my contacts combined I only have closed to 1k. But just look how many I have in my contacts!! Ive tried everything. Did complete wipe, readd my contact acc one by one again, ive tried all the apps available in blackberry world, intouchApp contacts, contact X, u name it, running out of options, appreciate any suggestions that u have.

    I have that problem. I just assumed all my contacts had split personalities.

    Have you tried turning off some of your contact lists?

    That was the first thing I tried. As u can see even when I turn everything off or unlink the acc I still have the duplicates. Probably after making duplicate it is saved somewhere in the phone. If I do a security wipe the contacts will become zero but the duplicates will start to appear again when I start to add my contacts acc.

    IntouchApp can easily resolve this. Only limitation is that the contacts have to be on the local account. If so, IntouchApp can remove all duplicates. Just ensure you complete the entire sync process. If for some reason it fails, we can do some smart stuff for youon your contacts too.. just email us: [email protected] or use the feedback form inside IntouchApp to communicate with us.

    Ok, try going to settings - accounts - 3 dots - clear local contacts. Only do this after you've selected the one email account you'd like to display in your contacts. If you have EAS email account like Hotmail, that'll be the one to leave. Also, before doing that, pull up a contact that has numerous dupes and look at the links to see where they're coming from.

    Good that ure here, I already have a platinum acc, the thing is do u know how long it will take for your app to scan 9000 contacts? It takes hours and it already crashed on me twice before completing. My username is amnan.pahamin. Can I also suggest that you have a pause or stop button just in case I decide to do a backup in the middle of searching for duplicates.

    Make sure the account you're syncing with is correct. If it is, run the merge and delete function that online email providers like outlook or Gmail have. Then re-add the account and make sure to clear local contacts as per earlier Response.

    If your online account is clean, delete your account, clean local contacts and re-add account after security wipe. Do NOT install facebook or Twitter etc until after your contacts have fully synced.

    Same problem her but I got 9890 contacts it happened with every BlackBerry Link sync but whent from 3000 to that number after installing 10.2.0.1443 with security wipe and without restore. I used in IntouchApp to backup and restore contacts, but deleting duplicates takes a long time for just a couple of hundreds to be corrected. My solution got a plane 3 hours to destination and 3 hours back with select multiple and delete from A to Z got it fixed. Advice: do first the A then the B etc, I takes a while to erase and almost 2 full battery charge.
