There's a bass boost in the phone app but I haven't seen one for the stock mp3 player.

For a speaker that fits in the palm of your hand it sounds great. EQ the bass a little higher even better.

On my Apple iPod I use the 'Small Speaker' EQ setting.
On my BlackBerry Z10 I use Neutron Music Player with the EQ set so the bass is boosted, and trebles is reduced.

For a Bluetooth speaker with a full sound, one the size of a shoe box is needed. But is someone would want a Bluetooth speaker that easily fits in your pocket, the BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker is one of the best on the market.
Completely agree. I use mine with Neutron MP and quite like it. As reeneebob said, it can sound a bit tinny, but I think it's fine for its size and use. I've mostly used it in a hotel room and in my car -- with my Z10. As for connecting to my home stereo system, I prefer the BB Music Gateway as I have to turn up the volume on the mini speaker for the same effect. BTW I bought mine from the Source.

I have tried and tried with Neutron and I just can't. I only can hope that they come up with an equalizer in one of the OS updates...

I find it really tinny. For the money, the Head rush ones have far better sound. And when they are at full price, there's a head rush block speaker that has a built in 1500 mah battery block in it as a power supply. I'd buy that over the BlackBerry speaker any day. Only thing I like about it is the clip.design.

I try to be honest. If I try something and it socks, I will tell a customer that. I treat my customers the way I want to be treated, and that includes not blowing smoke up their asses about something.

I bought and tried. The sound is pretty good for the size. I am having problems though with using the voice control function with my z10 and the device. It seems to cut out after the initial "what do you want to do " and doesn't restore itself. Anyone else have this issue.?

Just picked one up. Very happy with the purchase so far. Will give it a week and see how I'm feeling then.

If you guys are interested in spending a few extra bucks, the Beats Pill works like a charm with the Z10. NFC works like a charm and the conference calling is a breeze. Although the thing set me back 200$ they are amazing.

Does it work with bluetooth and nfc?

JBL Flip is the best I've heard in the under $100 class. Although I haven't really seen it on sale for much less yet. Great bluetooth, excellent speakerphone. Plays very loud for its size with surprising low end.

A better alternative is the Woweeone. The bass is phenomenal and they have several models in different colors. I have two and I highly recommend them.
