I gave my daughter my old iphone 4 when I upgraded to this Z10 - she has no data plan but when connected to wife can use imessage with any other iphone users but she can't message with my BlackBerry - I tried downloading whatsapp on my BlackBerry but it doesn't work on the z10 apparently. Does anyone know of a messaging app that I can download on blackberry that can also work on an iphone through a wifi connection?

I would definitely recommend Kik, but I'm not sure if it is on the BB10 App World.

I think Touch is a nifty app that will allow messages through the wifi and is very similar to Kik. I read an article that it is available on the Z10 and I currently have it on my iPhone.

    Hope it helps.

Sideloading is when you load android apps to the cellphone, you could "sideload" whatsapp to your device using the APK file thru your computer there are various post on this forums that would teach you how to do it as well recently crackberry made an article as to how sideload android apps to the Z10 so check it out! You will be Sideloading apps in no time to your Z10.

obviously she cant imessage your blackberry. imessage is Apple's version of BBM. just like how BB cannot BBM iphones. They can imessage as long as they have a wifi connection but only iphone to iphones. Whatsapp would work once it comes out officially for bb10. as for now, just use the good old sms. if she doesnt have a text plan, then tell her to email you via wifi
