    I recently picked this phone up, I found it online and thought it was neat. I don't know anything about it and didn't know it existed. I did a couple of Google searches and found out they did Sponsor Mercedes AMG Petronas.

    I checked the software and it's all the same as a regular Z10, no fancy clock like the Porsche version

    Anyone ever owned such a device? Or know anything about them?

    I thought that as well but the cover looks and fits like factory, and the outside of the phone is silver

    wow! nice phone! wonder if there's an AMG qwerty out there!

    hopefully you'll find some AMG theme or something else buried inside.

    I doubt it... that would have required a lot more work than sending out a few units for case customization.

    Most the promo stuff I saw was with regular devices.... these (or just this) might have been very limited.

    Might be one of the rarest BlackBerry collectables.... certainly more valuable than any mass produced Porsche Design. Would be great if it came in a box from BlackBerry or had some details on it's creation.

    Yup. They were special editions handed out when the partnership/sponsorship was in place. Nice addition to the collection.
