This one has performed without a hitch, for me:

I got this one. Somehow, with 35gb of movies on it, it's showing 98% full. There is nothing else on the card besides 35gb of movies, yet it shows 60gb used. Even on my PC, it shows the same thing. 60gb used, even though only 35gb of data on the card.

    Ideas?

Go to settimgs>storage and access>media card details. Take a look and see what is high. Then you can figure out if you need to move or delete something using your computer.

"Other data" is 25gb. Computer won't tell me what it is either.

Assuming you have installed some Android apps that might be using the SD card for app data storage, go grab the app Clean Master by KS Mobile, and have it take a look at what app data might be out there.

No apps. Never installed android anything. Never installed a leak or sideload. Brand new HD card. Just shows half full of mystery stuff.

    Format it. Try again.

Yeah I know know that's an option but annoying because I'd have to download all my movies again.

If you sync your movies to a computer, you should just have to sync them back.

Ghost Commander might be able to show you what else is sitting on the SD card if the normal File Manager and computer mounted drive do not.

Save them all in a folder on your desktop. Next format your memory card. Next, select all the files in one shot from the desktop location and paste them on to your memory card. This is probably a small issue somewhere. Don't panic.

Thanks all. Problem is my computer outer HD is small and full. I know what I need to do. Was just seeing if there was another solution that didn't involve a formatting. Thank again.

I'm unclear why you posted that. It's about media card speed.

    Just loaded it but....

The pie graphs both show identical info for SDCard and Device storage. Does this app actually know that we have a separate sdcard or does it consider internal memory "sd card"

And while it shows used 4.x and free 8.x, it does not really show there the other 20 or so gigs are lurking. And looking at info, there's not a lot stuffed elsewhere that it actually shows. Or am I using it wrong?

The app shows the same storage for memory and SD card on mine. I suspect this is just a bug since it wasn't written for BB10 devices.

This sweeping app just makes it easy to see what apps are using which storage and to clean them up in a button click. If you want to see everything, you should use Ghost Commander.

I think "other data" includes temp files for the movie download. We need an app or simple process to clean out those files. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try Ghost Commander? It let me see parts of the file system not visible through File Manager or my USB connection.

I just commented in another thread that this "other data" is too darn abstract. There should be more information on what it is, where it is and how it can be reduced, if possible.

I think the tool I used left it at exFAT but obviously did something so that the z10 could use it. The z10 could not recognize it nor format it.

I had purchased it here but ran into issues and returned it. After more info, I took a 2nd chance and ordered again (Amazon at that "sale" price 3 weeks ago) but used the format tool and it worked.

What does the format tool and procedure consist of if it's not asking too much. I'm on a mac if that matters

    Thank you
