Is there a quick way to switch memory cards on the Z10 without having to connect to the PC to get my stored data onto the new card ?

Unfortunately, you need to copy the data, one way or another. You could try copying to Internal memory and then to the new card. But I find that copying to computer gives you a backup at the same time, it provides the intermediary storage place between cards. And, gig's of data can take quite a while to copy. If you get an adapter, you can sometimes use the card as a usb thumb drive and copy directly from phone's card to the new card in the adapter.

F2 is dead on that directly to the PC makes the most sense. Another alternative is moving it to Box. Could start it at bedtime, and then load it on the new one the following night.

I have yet to migrate my 16gb to my 64gb successfully. Hours of frustration with no success.

How are you trying to do it? I've done it, basically as noted above

Card to computer, computer to new card. I will admit that sometimes not everything has transferred. Large videos have presented the most problems. But sometimes some of my music tracks have also been missing. I compare Number Of Files at both ends and then try narrowing down what is missing. More success, copying in chunks rather than all gigs in one-fell-swoop.

Every way I could think of. Card to comp then comp to new card. Card while in phone to new sd in computer sd reader. All at once and folder by folder. There was always tons of stuff missing. Folders would be on the new card but be empty. I have had the 16gb since os6 and moved from a smaller one between legacy devices with no problems. The z files differently than legacy so idk what the problem is.

Thanks all for the learning experience. At least now I'm aware that the lappie is the quickest way to go.

Curvezzz, did you format the 64 gb card properly? Up to 32 gb cards are not a problem with BB10, but 64gb need some additional work. Do a search on 64 gb cards; I did and got scared off. So I bought a 32 gb card; no problems so far. I copied everything to the device (I only had a 4 gb card before, so there were no space issues), put in the new card, formatted it just in case, and moved everything back. A bit of a hassle, but nothing serious. At least I could do it while grabbing lunch on the run.

Format the 64 GB card on the Z10. It should work after you've done that
