I download this app when it was first released and was free. The update notice came and it would not update what-so-ever. Tried many times over a few weeks time. I finally just deleted the app.
If I recall the app went from free to $4.99 then jumped up to $9.99.
I'm guessing if you didn't pay the $9.99 for this app it won't let you update. Kind of a ****- move in my opinion.
Screw you max secure...

I suggest the following:
Open BlackBerry World > swipe from the top > settings > and tap the version number > close BlackBerry World

Now, hold the top button until your device restarts. Ignore the onscreen prompts.

Then, try updating again once it boots.

I was having this problem with max secure as well so I tried following your instructions but unfortunately no luck. I downloaded when it was free no chance I would pay 9.99

If you got it for free then it's a no go. Unless you have a backup you can restore.
