    Hi folks,

I was propping up my Z10 today on my laptop screen (so I could view both screens) when I noticed my Z10's screen going off! I moved it around a bit and figured out it was due to one of my laptop speakers... the magnetic field from the laptop speaker was right next to the Z10.

So after a bit of experimentation with a strong fridge magnet (like a rare-earth type) I found the location of the magnetic sensor which turns off the Z10 when in the holster! It is right between the HDMI and micro-USB ports!

Anyone wish to replicate this phenomenon, just take a strong magnet and move it towards the ports, then away. You will notice your Z10 screen turning on/off. This can be useful for any do-it-yourself CASE makers, or if you want to modify your 3rd party holster/pouch or flip-covers with the capability to turn your Z10 on and off... NOW you know where to attach your magnet!

Sound off in this thread... let me know, does it work on your Z10?

Cool!!!! Thank you for letting us know. I've never altered my cases but I know a lot of people have asked where the magnet should be.

I think it is also about 1/2 inch in from the edge (with the ports). But there's some latitude left or right and a bit up/down.
