    Greetings,
    First thanks everyone on the forum as I've read a lot about BlackBerry and the Z10, which is what gave me the confidence to purchase it...

    So far I'm loving the Z10 and have gotten about 18 of my non-BB friends to download the BBM app to their other smart devices. Last night though I started having an issue with BBM I'm hoping someone has a slight clue how to resolve.

    I get a red X by messages when I attempt to send a message to someone. I can still make BBM calls and receive calls/texts/photos. This issue occurs on both Wifi or Data connection. Any ideas? All my other data apps like Whatsapp/Internet/Email all work.

    You might want to post which version of the OS you are using. Settings/About/dropdown menu - OS.

    Try a restart:

    Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

    If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

    I MY model number is stl100-3. Update 10.2.1.2156.

    I tried restart and battery pull. If I take the sim out and use wifi it works. Any other ideas?

    Are you getting the X from BB to BB.. or BB to Android only? I don't know 100%.. but i think BB has been doing some work on BBM. Might be one reason.

    None of my contacts use BlackBerry so it's all my BlackBerry to android and ios. I just think it's odd I can receive and make outgoing Bbm calls but not send outgoing Bbm messages. Do you have a link about this work being done?

    Found a solution. Transfer your Bbm to another device. Then re-switch it back to your original device

    I only get that when the contact am pinging haven't subscribed for BlackBerry services or if they are android users they don't have a data plan at that moment

    Network operator problem. Get your network operator to enable BB10 services for your sim.
