I am looking for an application to turn off/ shut down my blackberry Z10 .. as in previous versions of the BB curve. (turn off, shutdown)
instead of pressing off the button option.
My second question what about Skype? Is this application available for Z10?

Skype?? not available but you can sideload it onto your Z10 but its a bit buggy and isnt exactly smooth i found when i sideloaded it onto my z10. It should be out officially soon for the Z10, guess it will be when we get the 10.1 OS update...the Q10 has it already but its shipping with the 10.1 OS.

Not sure about an app that turns your phone on and off like the older BB's did, but hopefully BB will include that feature in a future update.

Not sure what you mean about application to shut down. As far as Skype, yes officially it will be out with 10.1 update (due out shortly) although both have already leaked if you can't wait.

I think the app the OP is referring to was QuickPull.

I somewhat agree with the OP I would like a app to put my z10 into standby instead of having to push the power button on the top of the phone. I've looked through the BB10 Native Code documentation and couldn't find anything that would allow an app to but the phone to sleep. While I don't care as much about an app to turn off the device it would be nice to be able to put the device to sleep using the touchscreen similar to the Playbook.
