After I log out of the new version of Skype my Android player no longer will load android apps. It tries to load them but just sits at a black screen for awhile. Once I reboot my Z10 everything works again Until I load skype and then logout. Does anyone else experience this?

So when you log out of skype it doesn't kill your Android player? Needing a reboot to get it working again?

On 1791 with Telus and I don't have this issue. Opened and logged out of Skype, closed it, and then opened Flipboard (official one from BlackBerry World). No issues. Sorry can't help.

It fixed mine too for the first few sign in/sign outs, but now it reverted back to crashing the runtime.

*facepalm* that sucks! so is this a Skype issue or a runtime issue?

Considering that Flipboard or my SunLife Canada apps don't cause runtime issues, I am inclined to think that it is a Skype issue.

I just opened a ticket with Microsoft via BlackBerry World for this issue, and for the issue that adding people or numbers forces the app into landscape orientation even if the device is locked to portrait.

My pleasure, the BlackBerry community needs to look out for each other.

Maybe mention to them that it also syncs your Skype contacts to your local contacts no matter what you have the option set to and it adds duplicates every time you log in and out.

I haven't received a reply to the email to MS via BB World so I don't have a ticket number yet; I haven't encountered the duplication of contacts issue but I can resend my original email and add this one to the list.

I find that if you sign in and sign out several times in a row it causes the crash. I've rebooted the phone and the runtime is working fine with Flipboard so for now I will avoid Skype.

For me it just loops the signing off pop up and never closes.

I wasn't having any problems with the android runtime nor Skype, but I was getting the duplicate contacts when I open and closed Skype. I updated the android runtime with the version available on BlackBerry World, and I'm no longer getting duplicate contacts. I would personally recommend updating the runtime even if you're having no problems.

If you read up higher we've updated and the same problem returned again.
