Hello everyone. I have had this issue since the 15th of this month. I took my phone out of its pouch and I see that none of my notifications a visible on my lock screen. However, the word "Test" shows. I've searched the net and my settings but I don't see anything regarding this. I'm onZ10STL100-4/10.2.1.1925. My update was done when VZW released it and my phone has been fine up until Saturday. I have not installed any new apps. In a few weeks. Tried reboots and battery pulls. Anyone know what it is and how I can get rid of it?

Lock screen says "Test" and won't disappear. Z10STL100-4/10.2.1.1925-img_20140217_212458.png

    Settings>Security and Privacy>Lockscreen.

    See if it's in there.

I've already done that. I should have mentioned that I haven't changed any settings since the OS update. My lock screen message has always been the same, my full name on the first line and work number on the second. The settings still reflect that. I've tried erasing the two lines and changing them as well.

Is your phone on BES10 with an employer?

Lock screen notification behaviour and both lines of the lock screen message (usually owner/information) are controllable from a BES10 server.

No. Never has been. This thing has been driving me insane. It just popped up randomly.

Well in that case I'm stumped. Looks like something has gone wrong with the OS settings where ever they are stored on the phone. It is certainly acting as if a BES IT Policy is in force when it shouldn't be.

I can only think that a backup of your data with Link, but not the Settings, and then a security wipe and restore is your only course of action.

Unclear from post, but is your phone functioning otherwise?

Yes, other than the lock screen issue, everything else is working fine.

Yes, I thought the same as well. I might have to just do a wipe and restore sans settings. I just really don't want to.

OK, long shot: is developer mode ON? If so try turning it OFF. Also turn OFF that selection that allows BBerry to gather data from your usage.

Yes, all those are off as well. I just don't understand how this happened when I hadn't made any changes to any of my settings or installed/uninstalled any apps.

The other thing that I just realized is my camera icon disappeared from my lock screen as well when the "Test" issue started.

Are you on Verizon? I can't remember, do Verizon phones -- even though they are CDMA -- come with a SIM card install for the GSM side (I think it needs it for LTE or something). If so, what happens when you remove the SIM?

If the camera icon is gone, sometimes that is due to Parental Controls being enabled. Check under Settings and Security

I checked that already my Parental Control is off.

I think it's time for me to do a wipe and reload sans settings.

Thanks to everyone for trying to help.

Is there a SIM and, if so, did you try pulling it?

    Yes, I have.

I just reloaded my OS and all is good. I even restored just my app data and media and that went fine. Then I restored my settings as well and that also went fine. Strange...

Try logging onto BlackBerry Protect from a PC and select the option to "send a message" to the device.

Check to see if it overwrites that Test msg.
