Since you are using CB10 to post, type

    myver

into a post so we know which model z10 and what OS you have loaded.

Is this a new symptom? Any new apps?

    Have you tried a reboot?

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

it depends what you are doing.

I allways switch off locations as it is direct connection to satellites.

so it should eat the battery.

woah .... be very careful how you do that or the satelites will get knocked off alignment

but , I've noticed some apps using locations services make my phone very warm and others not so much,

look for the wasteful app, mapping apps can be huge data and power drained if not programmed well,

you should not need to turn off location services because if no app is asking then it goes to very low energy, same for BT, Wifi, NFC etc, the radios as managed by the system are already very efficient

When I see a symptom like that, I suspect a need to reload the phones' operating system which may have been corrupted. If hard resets of the phone do not correct the problem, you might try an o.s. reload through Link or with an autoloader file. I had a similar problem recently and resolved it with an autoloader reload of the phones' o.s. followed by a security wipe and then clean install of my apps and contact list.

Perhaps installing another firmware could resolve the problem with Location services eating so much battery
