With capacity rising and the ever present ability to "hot-swap" I hope RIM has features in place that will scan/allow access to the cards content quickly and efficiently. Already with my 8gb card it takes a bit to read all the files on it before I can start accessing them.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess I will just wait in the weeds to see what people are buying and actually works as it should.
That's my attitude too. Not because I don't trust Kevin or anything (I don't think he'd let ShopCrackberry sell the cards if he wasn't certain) but because I have no use for a card other than in my Z10, and I think that waiting an extra 48 hours is worth the forty quid a card would cost me. It just makes sense to let someone with more money than me try it out first.

Looks pretty suspect to me. The photo is for a full size SD card. The description says MicroSD HC where it should say MicroSDXC. And the price seems unrealistic based on the current price for a 64GB MicroSDXC card (considering it is a new product). I would expect price to be at least $130 at least for the initial offering.

At the highest quality bit rate for MP3, a 32GB card will hold 3200 songs. At the standard bit rate its closer to 8k songs. Why anyone would need to carry around that many songs is beyond me. And dont forget that the SD card is hot swappable on BB10 so.

define a songs size.... i listen to trance and house sets that can range from 10 minutes to 5 hours. i have an mp3 cd in my truck right now that i am already bored of and it is 10 hours long; and there is about 6 different sets on it.

and my playbook cant even fit all my music from itunes on it. let alone podcasts. let alone movies and tv shows.

Well I already use a 32GB MicroSD on my 9860, I can tell you that I will love to be able to use a 64GB on my Z10, I almost fill all the space with my 2,500 .mp3 + photos + documents (I use my phone for working matters a lot!) and videos ... so it depends the user needs ... I like to have it all in only one device ...

Well i currently use the 2g card on my 9700 and i still have 1.8g left...my biggest concern is the ram or internal memory...the bold has 256mb of internal memory and i sit at 30mb when i reset and drops down to zero over the course of 3-4 days so you can imagine how slow and what a pain it is...if the z10 lets you save apps on the card then i will be a happy camper, but if not than at least give me 2g of internal memory that won't leak.

As per movies, can't purchased movies be re-downloaded from BB Appworld? What I mean is watched and retained in one's account?

I think so. And I was told again that it would support 128 GB's(whenever they're made available).

I carry around about 3 playlists. averaging 20 songs each. Why people need a giant library on there phone is nuts. You cant find what your looking for. And bluetooth sync becomes useless when its playing randomly in 10,000 songs.

The playbook is for movies but it has no SD card slot. Heres a thought, load up 64gb of movies on my Z10, and stream it to the playbook over bridge. We already have that function for pictures. Anybody know if were getting that feature?

I can hold 17 movies on my 32 GB for my 9900. My mom was very shocked when I said that. I was excited to talk briefly about the advantage of BB10. It sttill won't make her go smartphone though.

I have a 32g card in my 9850, I only have about 3g left. I've got about 2500 songs, and I use my BB camera a lot.
I have about 8000 pictures, pictures I've been snapping since day one of my first BB (storm).
I'm definitely getting the 64g card.

Which is why I believe that cloud solutions will be welcomed when BB10 drops. I use auto-upload to backup photos, thereby reducing strain on my sd card. Dropbox automatically does this, for example.
