ok... so here goes my story...

Fact:
STL100-1 was running on leaked OS 10.2.1.1925 (Carrier: Airtel India)
New OS comes out
Load the software updates (approx 84 MB)
Phone starts becoming warm to hot and slow
Decide to do a OS reload from Sachesi
Connect phone to the laptop and launch Sachesi
After the phone is recognised I install the OS.
OS Loads fine with everything in place.
Phone still becoming hot after a full day of running.

Decide to do a wipe via Sachesi... No go
wait for about 10 minutes and the device is not responding to any gestures.
restart phone
got it to do a security wipe...
Security wipe starts
after about 30 minutes it comes with error: BlackBerry 10 OS error codes - US

Look up BB for this error and it asks to reload through link
Tried but still not happening

So I restarted phone and it is doing the security wipe with the circle
I dont know how to proceed further.

I think the phone is bricked. Need help getting it up and running. Any suggestions?

Maybe you run out of battery. Try to plug your charger in, and hold press the power button. See whether that could turn your device on.

Security wipe can take up to a couple of hours.. if nothing works I think you can probably pull the battery and reinstall the OS via an autoloader.. the usually debricks the phone.. but wait for more suggestions, hopefully you get a more sound advice...

Someone the other day said the security wipe ran for 6 hours. So plug into a charger and let it run.

Otherwise, as suggested, use an Autoloader.

Thanks a lot guys but the error was what I was worried about.

I'm back on my phone, and here is what I did...
Connected the phone to the laptop. Launched BlackBerry Link. Post this I restarted my phone and as usual I got the shredder icon. Mid way through the error came and I probably got a 10 second window. Link showed that the phone was connected and the reload button became active. So I clicked on the reload button and walla... Immediately after that the phone LED turned green.

After that it was a non brainer...
