    Some people are experiencing an issue with not being able to text after moving data from a pre-BB10 device to your BlackBerry 10 device (such as a Z10). This doesn't happen to everyone. The currently available fix is to reload all data except text messages. This is BlackBerry's support article on this issue:

    KB33653-BlackBerry 10 device is not able to send or receive text messages after restoring SMS messages data from BlackBerry 7 or lower device
