    Hold the lock/power key for approximately 10. This cuts the power and then boots the phone.
    Saves wear and tear on the backplate.

    You can also keep pressing the up/down volume key simultaneously for a few seconds and then the device will reboot.

    But not the usual reboot where the OS has a chance to shutdown. This kills the power, like a battery pull or like unplugging a PC.
