Thanks 93Aero. How do I do it from the phone? I know there's an option, but what is the process? I am kind of new to the Blackberry 10, lol.
Updating via link I wasted around 2 gb of data with failure however up dating via phone just used 500mb data.

    Steps
1.go to setting-;network connection mobile network
    2.enable mobile data services
    3.go back to setting menu
    4. scroll down to software update
    5.open it-------check for updates
    6.download update

Note:it may be possible that mobile may say that update is too large to download over the network in that case use wifi or create a wlan signal from your pc.

Thanks Dikku11. Do I have still have to do a backup for the phone, or I just go ahead and update it from the phone, without the traditional backup on a computert? I don't want to lose any of my information.

Back it up via link first and be sure to connect to charger before you start updating via phone .
Note:after installing update the phone needs a long time to reboot and setup(1hr in some cases)so pls dont remove battery and don't try to force restart while it's rebooting as it might brick the phone.

more than one guy got this update it seems. i'm subscribed to this thread because of that, hoping to get an official 10.2.1 because i swore off leaks... and well even if this current leak turns out to be an official one it's still a method i don't like using (autoloader) to update the Z10. Sachesi for me, please.

Curious thing, was checking sachesi to see this update, got into jamaica and look in the list Z5????

    Attachment 233013
So I don't get it. Why isn't 10.2.1 there if it was released to a Jamaican carrier?

I'm on Digicel as well STL 100-3 my wife has the STL 100-4. I updated last night via the leak. Good to see Digi rolling out updates. Merry Xmas OP
All I can find for Digicel is 10.1.0.4181 available! OS: 10.1.0.4633 + Radio: 10.1.0.4634

This could be another "accidentally had PIN added to the BETA list" case.

Got a STL-1 myself, but know someone who has a STL-4 (Verizon model). It works flawlessly on Digicel. No problems whatsoever. The Verizon Q and Z30 should work flawlessly too, but haven't tested it or heard from someone who tested either yet.

You data should not be lost at all, backing up your device to link is just a precaution.
Apart from the update taking sometime to install and the device reinitialising, just know that something may appear to be extremely laggy or not work working properly, the device is just resyncing everything, so dont panic, just give it a few hours/next day and everything will be back to normal. You can of course still use your phone at this time.
If for some strange reason something does go wrong or your device does brick, you are always encouraged to start your own thread about your issue and a whole bunch of knowledgeable people will be by to help you out.

93Aero, what kind version Z10 you're using? is it the STL100-1 or STL100-2
Was there a specific reason you asked this or was it just curiosity? If it was something specific feel free to ask, there are many people that can help

Just as little FYI there are actually 4 Z10 variants STL100-1/2/3/4
