on-topic, seems interesting, but I think people would be interested in the followers? and how many would use it? but from the pic, it seems that there are a lot of followers... is it like a third party app for instagram? (i dont use instagram)

I know I'm going to take a beating for this, but why is everyone so hot for Instagram? Isn't it just something that you post pictures with? Why is everyone so eager to post their pics out in cyberspace? I've never used it so I honestly don't know...sorry, heh

Remember when Facebook was out and everyone was hot for it? Instagram is all the same, another social network that everyone is crazy about. My notion is not because you don't have use for it doesn't mean someone else doesn't. It has 100 million users and BB is not 'officially' any of that 100. They need to pull out all the stops to get it on the platform. A friend of mine called me just now wanting to upgrade from his 9900 and he chose the S3 and why? All because he's a big Instagram fanatic, I tried explaining and convincing him that the Z10 is a better choice and I showed him that Instagram does work but he says he's not a techie and he won't spend the time to hook up to a computer to sideload nor can he bother with the typing issue plus he can't wait for it to officially reach. So yeah its important, that's one customer BlackBerry just lost.

Does that use the instagram api? If it doesn't actually patch into instagram then I can't see myself using it. It's all about the user base with these social networking apps and instagram has the user base whether we like it or not....

Judging by the pictures provided, it doesn't look like the app has the ability to post pictures. What's the point of making an "Instagram Replacement" that's doesn't gave the ability to post pictures lol

I respect the work that is being done, but if it doesnt post pics its the same as every other 3rd party app currently in blackberry world. now if its like instance and I can post then im game and will even pay. if its not ill just stick to the sideload official app

I hope this is successful. That way it will show Instagram that BlackBerry users really do want their product. This is like when twitter didn't have a native BlackBerry App and everyone went with uber twitter until they gave us an official app.

I'll def give it a try. I currently use Instago & the sideloaded app for uploads. What most of you don't acknowledge is: Instagram doesn't release the necessary APIs to post pics. The developer for the Instance app on WP reverse engineered the app & somehow figured a way into it. We can't give this dev all the flack for doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Not saying you have to try the app, but we can't sit here and complain that we dnt have IG, then complain about the 3rd party app bc its not "good enough"... its a lose-lose.

Hopefully you won't charge an arm & a leg for it, though!

*Edit: Just noticed it was up! Def gonna give it a go! For only $.99, why not! Has a lot of features, too!
