Hi all, please help me with following queries: will it work for all operators if i get STL-02(4G) to India, as i heard only STL-1 is available there.
Another doubt is regarding OS update, how would i get updates in India as I heard updates are country specific?, not sure!. Please help me with this. My preference is for STL-2 as it has 4G option as well as Qualcomm processor which i heard is better than TI. Any help on these points will be great for me.!! thanks in advance.

Yes they all work on the STL1 bands you just get the addition of 4G as you have noted. Don't worry about OS updates, just load a leak, it's child play.

I was in India recently and I talked to Tmobile customer service before going. They said my STL 100-3 which I bought in USA would work right away in India. So I'm at CST airport in Mumbai, and I turn on my blackberry. It picks up the networks but I get no bars at all. It says emergency calls only but I need a sim card for it to work. I was assured that my tmobile SIM card would work in India albeit I would have to pay. Any reason why it wasn't working?

I have z10 stl 100-2 purchased from france, and it works flawless in india.

I hav an STL 100-2 bought from Netherlands...it catches network in India (both 3G and 2G)....everything is just fine...except the software update thing...I am unable to update the OS......My current OS is 10.2.1.2102.....everytime i try to update it says "You have the latest OS"...plz suggest anything if available.

I bought the STL100-2 through ebay for a great deal and updated the os to. 2977 through sachesi. Touch wood it's working butter smooth. I love z10!!!

I'm using the STL100-3 on T-Mobile here in the US and when I visited India last summer, it worked perfectly on Airtel. It picked up 2G and 3G signals without a glitch.

As for the part about getting OTA updates, if you didn't buy your phone directly from shopblackberry.com, then its updates will be driven by whichever company's SIM card you have inside. So for me in the US with a T-Mobile SIM, T-Mo will decide but if I'm in India on Airtel, then Airtel will decide when to push which update. Hope that helps!

If you are talking about a Euro T-Mo update for a USA T-mo phone, chances are almost zero it will preserve or restore wifi-calling on the USA T-Mo phone. Why would it?
