    Hello,
    Apologies if there is already a thread on this, I searched but didn't find anything. I've had my Z10 for just over a month now and my data usage has skyrocketed. I have 500mb and never came close to reaching 200mb on my BlackBerry Torch. Since having the Z10 I've hit 90% of data within 3 weeks of my billing cycle.
    Any insight as to why the huge increase, or how can determine if there is an app sucking it up would be greatly appreciated!!

    My amount if usage has not increased and I am not downloading or streaming.

    I've heard that this is related to not having BIS anymore.

    I say try to connect to a WIFI as much as you can

    There are threads out there, but the answer is that BB 10 data is no longer compressed thru BlackBerry's server, where it was formerly compressed and sent out as a 'packet' of data to your device where it was then unzipped into a page on your phone. Now instead of a bottle of data you're used to having, your device drinks from a faucet or stream of it, to put it simply.

    Having the same trouble. Warnings were posted around here about the loss of BIS and no longer getting data compression. My data is running about quadruple the 9900 data usage. Our family plan was raised to avoid trouble with the new consumption.

    Used 500mb within a week and before u had 100mb for my torch Which I never even hit 50mb

    It's the reality with all new and old smartphones. I'm halfway through my billing cycle and I'm at 3 gb. Lucky I got 6 gb per month from Bell. Funny my Wife burns through the data quicker than me on her iphone. And I'm a heavier user.

    No offense but did you do any research before taking the plunge? I'm no blackberry expert but these little things I always research before making the investment. My data is also up but I'm also doing more now that I can on my phone. I used my 9900 for communication. Now I do almost everything on this phone now.

    I'm gonna keep trying to use wifi as much as possible and then consider a data increase.
