Performing a search on these forums will return several dozen scattered threads on how to improve battery life. That's a little inconvenient, if you ask me. Having them all compiled into one place might be more convenient -- maybe even 'stickied'.
I've not had stellar performance. I did, however, leave my phone off-charger last night and only dropped from 90% to 80% over a 7 hour period of non-use. That's better than what I was expecting.
Oh. You should prepared to be flamed. Many people will be upset that you've just brought up a subject that they considered to have been discussed to death and beyond. Personally, I like the idea of a moderated Battery Improvement thread.
I like the search comment since it has been discussed many times before.
But I'm interested in hearing about every setting you changed. Please list them.

Same here, which is why I'd like to see a Tricks and Tips thread get pinned for common suggestions.
Ugh. So much for my overnight 80%. Felt like playing some Angry Birds: Star Wars this morning. Just a couple of short sessions (15, maybe 20 minutes each). The first session took me down to 55%. The second down to 20%. Nothing going on other than that with the display brightness well below the half-way mark.
I started a list of suggestions. I will add more later.

Something like this? Ten tips and tricks to extend your BlackBerry Z10 battery life | CrackBerry.com
Yeah. Something just like that, only in the forums where I might have seen it and others might contribute to it more than once a week or so. A living thread would allow for more than just ten suggestions. Especially when two of those are "Charge the phone to extend battery life" and "Buy extra batteries".
New items could be added along the lines of "Turn Off Gestures When Locked". I notice that was missing from the top ten.
A pinned thread would allow for more feedback on what's worked for some and not others. It would also allow for us to compile a list of potentially bad batches of batteries, if they're actually out there.
But whatever. It's not that important.
I've changed the brightness to 10% I've turned everything off that people have been telling me to turn off. I've done everything I can so save battery and still no change. Any suggestions?

I leave GPS and NFC off, but WiFi and BlueTooth on. I check four mail accounts, text, BBM, and Google Talk. I easily get two days on a charge. Battery life did improve after a few days and very much improved after the first update.
If you're on Verizon, be patient. If you're on another carrier, make sure you're running the latest version of the OS.
I also remember reading that some apps, specifically the ebay app, drained the battery. I often have 4+ apps running at a time, typically Calendar, Browser with a few tabs, Search, and maybe Remember or Podcasts. They don't seem to drag things down much.
Best of luck...
Oh.. I just remembered, I also leave LTE off.
Personally, I see a substantial difference with LTE off. LTE coverage is allegedly good in Philadelphia, but I don't really know how even it is. H+ is fine for just about everything anyway. There might be an advantage to using LTE for navigation apps, to pull map info in faster, but for most other purposes it's overkill. If I were downloading large podcasts and things over the network I might feel differently, but do that sort of thing on wifi.
Edit: I leave GPS on. I don't think the GPS receiver is activated unless an app actually needs it, so I just watch app settings. For example, I don't have BeWeather set to use my current location; I just manually set it to Philly, since that's where I am most of the time. If I'm traveling I can change that. I don't have geotagging turned on in the camera. I turn off location permissions in FaceBook and similar things. Really, the only time I should need GPS is when using maps or local search apps. I don't have to disable GPS as long as I don't keep those apps running when I'm not using them.
Those are virtually the same suggestions in the thread I showed. The only difference is they put screen shots to them :p

Where in Philadelphia are you?
I get absolutely terrible AT&T reception at Temple. Their Wifi is spotty and my phone is constantly switching between that and the mobile network. Several times today I lost a mobile signal totally, which maybe why my battery drained to 20% with light to moderate use from 8:30 to 2:30. Before today, though, my battery life was fantastic. Just yesterday I went from 9:30-7 with about 25% left.
install battery guru, since I've done that I scared the **** out of my battery, now it knows that I'm watching and behave good.
If you're forced to LTE, forcing 4G via engineering screen may decrease it no matter the signal strength. Once you install all apps, backup and restore from the backup. Turn off bluetooth and nfc. If you want to use an app, search on the forums if it drains the battery.
