Has anyone tried the Android version of iHeartRadio on the Z10?

I also tried to use the browser to listen... everything seems to work except no sound.

The radio station I want to listen to is part of Clear Channel thus none of the other radio media apps support the station. I had the iHeartRadio app on my BB 9850... worked great.

I e-mailed iHeart and they gave a standard reply "Thank you for contacting us. At this time our app is not available right now for the Z10 device. Unfortunately we do not have an ETA at this time. It may become available for in a future release. Please stay tuned for future updates".

I wish more companies would invest in BB again and bring back the apps for OS 10. Now that Skype is supporting OS 10, maybe other big names will follow.

iHeartRadio is the app developer (they are part of Clear Channel Broadcasting, Inc) and I did contact them (see their response in my original post). They have apps for iPhone and Android (and older BB OS's).

I just want to see if anyone created a BAR from the Android app and tried it on OS 10.

I did... unfortunately didn't work it keeps crashing...will wait for the native app

Looks like I'm not the only one. I had signed and side loaded Iheart radio version 4.6.2 and I can browse stations, but crashes as soon as you click on a station. It worked on my z10 running .882 just once. I'm still. 882 though.

I left the bar file there in case anyone is curious. I converted it with the latest android SDK and BlackBerry 10.1 Native SDK. Not sure what the problem is. Here you go:

On second thought, it may be that I have an older OS as 10.1 > 10.0.1.882 and the SDK only signs for 10.1. Should still be fine since the SDK merely signs the bar app, but it crashes anyway.

An interesting thing is I was able to compile, debug and run a sample app on my. 882 so SDK version points to a non issue.

I just tried it on 10.1.0.1483 OS and it's a no go Once you select a station is does a force close.

So close... Hopefully iHeart will release a native app for OS 10.

Did any of you guys see this? Go to Google and search iheart.com/z10 Then selected the Cached version of that page. You're going to see a page for an online contest that BB and IHeart just did FEATURING the Z10.

CLEARLY, Blackberry and iHeartRadio are working together, but we still have no app. How is this possible?

Got 10.1 20 minutes ago and Iheart radio is on my z10 now. Really missed it and have been carrying Kindle fire for Iheart radio........ Now to pick up skype and I will be whole again.
