Bad post I think you're simply pointing out the "flaws" of Z10 and you already knew what wasn't there beforehand, personnaly I like my typing experience my messeging and all the other things you're missing out on if you never tried the phone - like preemptive text for multiple languages

Okay, so let me premise this by saying this was not all a joke and I do appreciate meaningful discourse. After hearing all of the opinions that rebooting is not a problem and that many of the bugs are not bugs. I spoke with t-mobile who said I could refuse the iphone shipment and go to the store to pick up the Z10. Probably should have played with it first. Many of the rebuttals have been helpful in assuring me. Thanks for the help in the decision making process and I (most likely) will remain a Crackberry nation member. I was already really having trouble letting go after being a crackberry for so many years. My humble thanks....Mahalo

I think mostly your worries are unfounded.

-Too many reports of bugs showing up on threads.....I really wanted something tried and tested
    A) Your always going to read a lot of complaints and bug reports on these forums. Compared to iOS for example which has had more security bugs than an art farm. Yes there is a rebooting issue on select devices but there are many of us who have had a flawless experience with the device.

-APPS, I wanted apps for banking, professional and technical apps for psychology
-Coming. And you really shouldnt be banking on your phone...

-APPS, simple little apps for meditation sounds and other miscellaneous crap
-Coming. We are getting them faster than any other platform so far, the big apps are coming and the smaller ones will follow.

-Siri works much better than the BB version
-Voice control is what it is, useful in a car, apart from that its faster to just go through the taps for the most part.

-I really like the integration of Google Maps
-BlackBerry maps may not be Google Maps but it is a solid application, and if you need walking or transit directions the google maps website works flawless.

    -Ability to use Google Voice
_never used this service cannot comment

    -Solid Netflix app
-I see some of the appeal but in reality in most situations your better off just using netflix on a pc or laptop if not TV. Cell phone data plan caps destroy any real use that this could be.

-Time Warner Cable app to watch TV at airports.
-Never used this so cannot comment

    -Apple's Book app
-This is just silly, you cant ask for something that is platform specific, you wont get imesssage or BBM on other platforms either.

-I don't use games so no big deal on that one.
-Too bad, a lot of the big ones are already here.

The iPhone doesnt really compete in my opinion, I may sound biased but I try to avoid that if I can. Objectively, iOS is weaker on security, multitasking and "flow" of the OS, but is stronger on Apps and simplicity. All platforms have bugs, iOS seem to be more security related recently, Android has that irritating laggy keyboard, and BB10 has a rebooting issue. BB10 is also the OS that will receive the most updates and work in the next year, with the most room for growth.

And can I just say once again that the rebooting is a non issue for most of us and of all the bugs that could happen it is far from the worst.
Thanks man this is appears to be the most thought out response and really did help me see the utility in changing my mind. Good points!

Thank you for making this point. So often in these discussions people get the idea that apps are frivolous. I've lost count of the number of times I've read comments like "I don't need apps; I need to get things done." But it's often the specialized apps, rather than the "popular" ones, that make all the difference. For you it's specialty pysch apps; for someone else it's educational or legal or medical or pharmaceutical apps.

Fortunately, I'm not in a position where missing productivity apps hold me back from owning a Z10, but I really hope BlackBerry is able to get these important professional niche apps on board as soon as possible.

It's your choice, I went from an iphone to a blackberry.

As for one of your reasons. I just wanted to say that you will always see more threads about bugs then good experience in forums. Here is a an example in the Apple forum:

    I wanted a Z10 but opted for iPhone 5-img_00000080.png

Probably true and will most likely by a send gen....really wanted a few apps that couldn't get and was concerned about bugs...I'm 99% sure I will be back and waiting a bit will be fine
The apps seem to be the deal breaker for the moment, especially such specific ones. No doubt Apple rules the roost in that regard. The one big app I DO miss is iBooks.

I think the bugs are affecting a minority of users. I think it just seems like a bigger issue because this is the #1 Blackberry fan site and the obvious choice for people to come for help. Not to dismiss people that are having legitimate issues, to be sure.

Anyway, best of luck, look forward to your inevitable return.

I'm assuming that you are "studying" psychology and not a practitioner. Otherwise, you've missed the point of BlackBerry all together, "Security! The phone, the system and the caution when receiving or transmitting info. on patients CAN NOT be compromised, period. Banking can be done securely through the browser or (and I am assuming here) apps available for BB10 which are not bank specific. I can't be sure because all I have is my PlayBook and 9650; Sprint is too busy deciding who will buy them while letting enterprise customers stew or leave.
