I realize that BlackBerry is doing things differently with BB10 and the old way of doing notifications is through but it is there any way to at least load my old sounds and alerts? It seems that the new Os only allows mp3s

No you can have the old m4a sounds too. Put them on media card in Blackberry/Ringtones. Create if it doesn't exist

Thanks guys but I don't think I explained myself well. I have ALL my own alerts and ringers on my card which my old torch read fine. But my new z10 doesn't recognize them.

If you're using CB app in your Z10, go to the Help section ( via app hub). It's listed there - Missing your old ring tones. Enjoy!

Apparently if you put the ringtones folder within the "voice" folder on the device they don't show up in the music player.

Thanks guys. I realized the problem. I made a very stupid error and didn't check the files that I thought I had saved in the folder.
