Kinda worried, I've only just realised that my Z10 STL100-2's Proximity sensor isn't working, I've loaded up BBVE and it's saying both Light and Proximity sensor are Unavailable, I swear they worked before I updated.
Phone hasn't been dropped, subjected to heat/cold, worst it got was a bit damp after it chucked it down outside.

I've used the same case since I bought the phone and the screen protector does not cover the sensors

Running 10.3.1.1779 updated via OTA, UK Unlocked

    Anyone else getting this?

Wipe at the last resort, I use it as a dev phone so have all my debug stuff on there

yeah one of those OSes, I can't remember which one, disable the proximity sensors. It was a known issue. Only way to fix is to load a different OS.

So an official OTA broke it?
Are the BlackBerry QA team constantly high or something?
    Complete idiots

There have also been reports of the sensors going bad so until you're sure it's software related...

If it does need the sensor it's part of the pwr button assembly.

Only a hard reset at the moment, rather not wipe it

Might be the same issue. Updated last night and now when I close my case the screen stays on as if it was open. An hour before the update it worked.

This has happened far too many times for a mere coincidence.

I tried another magnet from another case and the screen did shut off. Must have been a coincidence? Or the update changed the calibration on the sensor.?

Have you guys tried using the BBVE (BlackBerry Virtual Expert) app to test your sensors? Among the multitude of tests that they have, there is a section for testing whether or not your light and proximity sensors are functioning properly. I always use this app first to run tests before I do anything drastic. It's pretty useful.

Of course between 2 wipe and lot hard reset I checked with BBVE and like paulwallace I removed the screen protection...

Same here... I did quote a few of hard reset, solved the issue only once though. I've been considering reloading the OS via BlackBerry Link. Any suggestion?

Reload your current OS or try another version up or down one version. Good luck

Yes, there's an OS option. It will get the one offered by your carrier.

I agree with oystersource. There have been a bunch of complaints about this and ALL of them were AFTER upgrading to one of the latest OS releases.
This part they majorly botched for some users.
Just because some had no issues, doesn't mean the issue doesn't exist.
My sensors all work, yet the Advanced Interactions don't work.
    Something is up with this.

I was about to brag about my Advanced Interactions working, but this is another thing 1779 broke, first the Keyboard Tap Tone Slider(this is really effing getting on my nerves now) and now this -_-

So, my Calling does that lag for 3-4 seconds when you answer,
After about 2 days the phone starts juttering like a *****,
My Prox and Light sensor are dead,
    Advanced Interactions are dead,
Keyboard Tone Slider doesn't work as it should,
Active Frames on the Music Player is now awful, takes the **** to update (My App has a live clock and it works fine so it's whoever changed the Music Players fault)

The only thing they actually fixed was Volume change juttering (even that's starting to come back) and my Rotation Lock.

I came to BB10 because it was stable on 10.2, it was excellent, never had a problem on 10.2 or 10.2.1, but this, this is garbage.

Hmm, I have the STL100-2 and two nights ago updated to 10.3.1.1779 and so far no issues that I know of. I don't use a magnet case though so maybe I wouldn't notice that.

Make sure battery saving mode isn't enabled when trying to use advanced interactions.
